Heat Play Dallas At Home on Saturday and St. Louis on Sunday
The Harrisburg Heat have a big doubleheader weekend this Saturday and Sunday as they play home games against the Dallas Sidekicks on Saturday and the St. Louis Ambush on Sunday. Both games are at the Equine Arena in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Saturday’s start time is 7:05 PM and Sunday’s kick off is 5:05 PM.
The Heat are coming off a thrilling 9-8 road victory against the Texas Outlaws. The Heat are currently 5 points out of the eighth and final play-off spot. With each win in regulation time, teams are awarded 3 points so the Heat are effectively two games out of the playoffs at this time. Dallas, who the Heat play on Saturday, is currently in the final playoff spot. St. Louis is currently in ninth place in the twelve team MASL league and they trail Dallas by four points. This weekend’s games are big as the Heat can make a playoff push with the two home games.
This month Dominic Francis and Joey Tavernese were selected to the MASL all star game which will be played in Utica, New York on Wednesday, February 12th at the Adirondack Back Center. Tavernese leads the Heat in goals with twelve while Francis is second with eight goals. Tavernese’s goal total ranks fifth in the MASL. Mike Da Silva leads the Heat in assists with eight and Malcolm Harris has chipped in with six assists.
The Dallas Sidekicks are led by Jamie Lovegrove who has scored nine goals while Franck Tayou leads the St. Louis Ambush with twelve goals.
